Job Description

This position is responsible for the research, development, execution. monitoring and follow-up of all GRGE Security, Risk, and Safety training within the Security Department. This position is also responsible for reviewing and updating Security's Policies and Procedures as required, coordinating operational functions including staffing needs, reviewing site security schedules for operational efficiencies and identifying areas of improvement to bolster security risk and safety needs by performing the following duties as well as demonstrating the GILA WAY.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Promotes and provides excellent guest service experiences to both internal and external guests.
  • Researches methods and materials to develop, review, and revise Security, Risk Mitigation, & Safety training throughout the Enterprise.
  • Interacts with audits training records for all GRGE departments to ensure uniform delivery of security, risk mitigation, & safety training throughout the Enterprise.
  • Determines the need for additional specialized training based on frequency and severity of incidents working in conjunction with the risk and safety team representatives.
  • Oversees the Security Officer Field Training Program for new hires to ensure that the field training officers are effectively and consistently training newly hired security team members to the Security Departments standards and/or retraining, as necessary.
  • Performs other special projects and duties as assigned.

This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities, but indirectly influences enterprise employees in their performance.

Skills / Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Three (3) years of experience such as team member training, curriculum development or related field or equivalent experience in Security, Safety, and/ or Risk Management fields.
  • Knowledge of training principles and adult learners' practices knowledge of methods and techniques of conducting formal and informal training sessions.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, complex situations, and multiple requirements on an ongoing basis.
  • Must possess a valid AZ driers license and a clean driving record for the past five years.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol test and agree to maintain a Drug-Free Workplace as a condition of employment.
  • Must pass a full background check to be certified/licensed prior to employment.
  • Must be able to work in a smoking environment.
