Job Description

This position performs duties and responsibilities relative to providing security for employees, guests, facilities and the grounds of all casino locations. This position installs, repairs, and rebuilds and services mechanical or electrical locking devices using hand tools and special equipment, applying the principles and practices of the locksmith trade to a variety of locks, as well as demonstrating the  GILA WAY.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Promotes and provides excellent guest service experiences to both internal and external guests.
  • Responds to lock requests, prioritizing order and work to be accomplished.
  • Plans and designs the facility key and locking systems for the enterprise.
  • Performs cleaning, repairing, installing, servicing and maintaining all types of locks, safes and vaults in all areas of the enterprise.
  • Disassembles repairs, rebuilds, and assembles locks, padlocks, and combination locks and internal components.
  • Is available on a rotating basis for 24 hour call-in, in emergency situations.    
  • Performs other special projects and duties as assigned.

Skills / Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. 
  • Previous experiences in the locksmith trade preferred.
  • Must be mechanically inclined with experience in maintenance services and working with tools of the trade.
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of the locksmith trade. 
  • Must possess a valid AZ driver's license and clean driving record for the past five (5) years.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol test and agree to maintain a Drug-Free Workplace as a condition of employment.
  • Must pass a full background check to be certified/licensed prior to employment.
  • Must be able to work in a smoking environment.
